Trading Places is a comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd as a street hustler and a wealthy commodities broker who find their lives reversed as part of a bet between two callous millionaires. The film explores social class, wealth, and the absurdity of the financial world, all delivered with sharp wit and memorable performances.
Fort Worth Film Club was founded in 2022 after the closing of Fort Worth’s lone art house cinema, The Grand Berry Theater. Continuing what the Grand Berry started, the newly branded Fort Worth Film Club’s goal is to build a community in Fort Worth around a shared love of film. To that end, we host monthly free-to-the-public movie screenings, aiming for those with cultural and local importance, with a moderated discussion held directly after the movie. In addition, we have Patron-only screenings and dinners as well as online screenings during the month typically associated with our signature event.
