A unique collection of firearms from John Wayne films, spanning over four decades from The Big Trail (1930) to The Shootist (1976)! This exhibition is a curated collaboration between John Wayne: An American Experience and the National Firearms Museum (NRA).

Remington 1861 New Model Army used by John Wayne in his first starring role, The Big Trail; Short-barreled large loop Winchester Model 1892 used in True Grit (1969), Big Jake (1971), Rooster Cogburn (1975), and The Shootist; Large loop Winchester Model 1892 carbine from True Grit and Rooster Cogburn; Mattie Ross’ Walker Colt used in True Grit; Winchester Model 1892 from Rio Lobo (1970); Colt 1890 Gatling Gun used in The War Wagon (1967) and Rooster Cogburn; Double-barrel shotgun from Cahill, US Marshall (1973); Browning High Power pistol from McQ (1974).
